Reading the news sometimes raises a question: what does the Bible say about this? News with the Bible takes one such question and looks at two things together: what actually happened, and what a Bible passage says in its own context.
You can read on your own or use a study in a small group. We want to give you the passage first and then material for talking about why people read it differently.

This site began in Korean as 뉴스로 읽는 성경. Each English study is a translation of a Korean study that was reviewed first. We translate the facts, sources and limits as they are and do not add new claims. Some news sources are in Korean; the source list gives their original titles.
Two editions
The adult edition is the default. It covers the background of the passage, where interpretations differ, the detailed evidence and notes for group leaders. The children’s edition is written separately for children about 8 to 12 years old who read on their own. It uses plain words but keeps the evidence and the limits, and it ends with a note for parents and teachers. Both editions cover the same question and the same facts.
How studies are made
We look at possible topics every day, but we do not publish just to keep a schedule. The operator checks the sources, the Bible context and both editions before deciding to publish, and does the same for each English translation. A study that is not yet confirmed waits or is set aside.
We keep facts and interpretation apart and link the sources we actually read. We never claim an expert review or reporting that did not happen. Our editorial principles give the details.
